1. michael walekaki, head of the school, describes the need for new infrastructure as follows: enrollments in the school are staggering and students are following classes in overcrowded classrooms at this moment. electives are taught simultaneously in the same classrooms; there is a high need for more space. the school needs to be expanded as soon as possible with classrooms and residencies for the teachers to be in line with the recommendations formulated by the ugandan national board of examiners. for the future, an evolution from o-level to a-level is planned. in summary, we urgently need buildings for students and teachers. it is crucial that we collect €6 000 as quickly as possible.
2. the computer classroom needs upgrading. we are looking for 7/14 ICT or telecom companies that each donate € 1000 / € 500. click here for more information.
3. the vocational training centre stephen wants to turn the vtc into a ‘model school’. 15 acres are now maintained by the irrigation project. he wants to train young farmers with a focus on new technologies and ecology, expanding the herd, boosting the milk production and guiding young people to bring their products on the market. we are looking for € 7 000 for the purchase of 15 cows, a cooler and a refrigerator. click here for more information.
